11.29.06 WEST PALM BEACH -- Serena Williams was found liable Thursday for breach of contract after she said in a documentary her father was her manager but said in court he had no authority to enter her into an agreement for a 2001 "Battle of the Sexes" event. Father Richard was also found liable by the jury. Sister Venus Williams was cleared of all charges. No party will have to pay any damages. "Venus and I would really like to thank the jury again because they really were able to see the truth in this matter," Serena Williams said.

12.19.06 BANGALORE -- Serena Williams has entered the 2007 WTA Bangalore Open. The Tier III event in its second year as a WTA Tour tournament, will be played February 12th to 18th outdoors on hardcards in Bangalore, India and will have a prize money of $175,000.

12.06.06 NEW ORLEANS -- Serena Williams lost to her sister Venus Williams 5-7, 6-4, 10-6 in an exhibition tennis match as part of the McDonalds Williams Sisters Tour Tuesday in New Orleans, Louisiana. Serena reportedly was looking in better shape physically, but reportedly looked tired at the end of the match.

12.06.06 WEST PALM BEACH -- A 5 year old tan pit bull dog registered to Serena Williams bit a security guard outside Williams' home last week. No injuries were reported. Serena said she was only watching the dog named Bambi and did not own it. No comment yet from the Palm Beach Gardens Police.

Two other cities released for the Williams sisters tour are New Orleans and Charlotte, North Carolina. Venus' father Richard Williams also today became ill in civil court.

11.03.06 HOBART -- Serena Williams has entered the Moorilla Hobart International to be played the week of January 8, 2007 as a warm up WTA Tour tournament to the new year's first grand slam, the Australian Open which is the be played the following week. "I am determined to return to the top of the rankings and think that preparing for the Australian Open at Hobart will be a great start," Williams said. Tennis Australia's Director of Player Development Craig Tiley said the 95-ranked Williams will receive a wild card if she needs requires it to play in Hobart. "It's terrific news that the Hobart International will be able to showcase a marquee player like Serena at the 2007 event," Tiley said in a statement. "Depending on what the ranking cut-off for main draw direct acceptance is, Serena may require a wild-card, which we'd happily offer."

11.03.06 GHANA -- Serena Williams was expected to arrive in Africa today with her mother, Brandy Williams in order to tour Africa for about a week. Williams was to conduct a tennis clinic for African girls in Ghana. Serena is also expected to visit Senegal as part of her tour.

"I'm terribly sorry, but it's just not possible," Williams said. 09.04.06 NEW YORK -- At the US Open in the fourth round wildcard Serena Williams has lost to world number one Amelie Mauresmo 6-4, 0-6, 6-2. Williams made a few loose errors at the end of set one before powering to a 6-0 set in set two. In set three, at 2-3, errors once again appeared in Serena's game as Mauresmo used a mix of slice and loopy balls. Williams was not able to consistently hit with Mauresmo at the end without errors.
